Stannol is presenting a new sintering paste project for the first time at productronica in Munich. The aim is to create an advanced alternative to established soldering processes with the new sintering paste.
The main advantages of the Stannol sinter paste:
- Silver-free and oxygen-tolerant: does not require expensive silver and is tolerant to oxygen
- pressureless sintering: a sinter layer is formed at 280 °C for 15 minutes - without pressure, inert gas or reducing atmosphere
- copper-based composition: instead of metallic particles, copper salts are used, from which metallic copper is formed
- diffusion-based process: in contrast to soldering, the particles are not melted, but are joined by diffusion, which enables reaction temperatures below the melting point
- high thermal and electrical stability: the resulting compounds are characterised by excellent thermal and electrical properties
- easy storage: can be stored at room temperature and without inert gas
The product is currently still in the final development phase, but already shows great potential for future applications.
Stannol presents recycler demotronic
Stannol will also be presenting at productronica 2025 for the first time together with the recycling company demotronic, in which Stannol has acquired 25 per cent of the shares. "From now on, we will not only offer our customers high-quality solder materials for their production processes, but together with demotronic we will also ensure that production waste and old electrical appliances are returned to the cycle. This means that valuable metals such as tin, silver and copper can be recycled instead of having to import them again," emphasises Marco Dörr, Managing Director of Stannol.
Specialised recycler in NRW for almost 30 years
demotronic, based in Espelkamp near Osnabrück, was founded in 1997 and has established itself in the field of electrical and electronic recycling. demotronic is not only certified as a company for data destruction, but also as a primary treatment facility and specialised disposal company. Stannol will take over the remaining 75 per cent of the company when the current managing director Achim Wenzel retires at the end of 2026.
You will find Stannol and demotronic in Hall A4, Stand 470.
