Stannol is part of an innovative project centred around PV module production: The "Quelle" project "Quality and capacity for fast German PV module production", focuses on the lead-free interconnection of high-efficiency solar cells with round wires and new types of corrugated wires.
As part of the project, Stannol is developing a water-based flux for solar cell interconnection. "With the development of the water-based flux, we are opening up a new market segment in the field of PV module production and expanding our product range," explains Ingo Lomp, Head of Innovation at Stannol.
In addition to Stannol, other project partners include Fraunhofer ISE. The project is scheduled to run for three years.
